The VETS I-B is a series of torque balanced ropes, which consist of an elastic center core with concentric layers of DuPont™ Kevlar® 29 and an overall polyester or nylon braided jacket.

The VETS I-B is an excellent rope for all applications where lightweight, small diameter, long lengths and low elongation are important. Known successful applications of the VETS I-B include: subsurface oceanographic moorings, subsurface salvage and recovery, balloon tethers, scientific applications and center strength members for electro-mechanical cables.
