The VETS 169 is a series of torque balanced flexible ropes, which consist of an elastic center core with concentric layers of DuPont™ Kevlar^® 29 and an overall jacket.

The VETS I69 is an excellent rope for all applications where lightweight, small diameter, long lengths and low elongation are important. Known successful applications of the VETS I69 include: Subsurface oceanographic moorings, subsurface salvage and recovery, balloon tethers, scientific applications and center strength members for electro-mechanical cables.
